Wooden Shields

Wooden Shield, weakest of the all the shields, and is susceptible to burning. To make up for this weakness, it is insulated against electricity. | |||||||||||

Offers a much greater resistance to attacks then that of the Banded Shield. This Braced Shield will also protect against electric attacks, but still won’t block fire attacks. |
Iron Shields

More durable than the Wooden Shield and immune to burning, but weak against electricity. You must first have the Wooden Shield, so make sure you don’t get it burned up or broken, otherwise you’ll have to pay for repairs. | ||||||||||

The Reinforced shield has increased durability and better blocking than the previous Iron Shield. Immune to fire and weak to electricity. | ||||||||||

The Fortitied Shield is the strongest of all the Iron Shields. Like previous versions, it will not burn, but it is still weak against electric-type attacks. These shields are best suited for the Eldin Volcano area and hard-hitting enemies such as Lizalfos. |
Sacred Shields

This highly durable Sacred Shield has low durability but makes up for it by slowly replentishing the damage meter on its own. It will resist most types of attacks. | ||||||||||

The Divine Shield shares the same properties with its previous version but it more durable. | ||||||||||

The Goddess Shield is more durable than the Sacred Shield and the Divine Shield. It, too, replentishes the damage meter over time and can repel most attacks, making it strong against fire and electric-type attacks. |
Item Upgrades
Beetle

This flying, mechanical device is acquired after defeating the first miniboss. In this form, it can only fly for a short time and activate switches. | |||||||||||

Scrapper will give you the Hook Beetle upgrade in Lanayru Desert, enabling you to use the mechanism to pick up and carry bombs as well as fly for a longer period of time. | ||||||||||

With this Beetle upgrade, the mechanism can now fly faster and for a longer period of time. | ||||||||||

Bow

Mitts

You can acquire these from Tyto the Mogma. These Digging Mitts allow you to dig up rupees, ore, and other useful items. | |

Silva the Mogma will give you the Mogma Mitts after you defeat the Fire Sanctuary’s miniboss. These mitts are allow you to dig up treasure as well as burrow into underground tunnels like a Mogma! |
Slingshot

The slingshot allows you to use projectiles to defeat or stun enemies from a distance as well as activate switches. | |||||||||

With the Scattershot, you can shoot a handful of seeds at a time, allowing for a wider range and stronger attack. It is particularly useful against swarming enemies. |
