Amber Relic

It’s an amber-colored chunk of precious stone. Nobody knows why it’s this shape.

This item can be used for upgrading and can be acquired in Faron Woods.

Bird Feather

These highly prized feathers come from birds foreign to Skyloft and can serve as a useful material.

Blue Bird Feather

Very few small birds possess this sky-blue feather plumage, making these feathers extremely rare!

Eldin Ore

This hard concretion sparkles brightly. It also has lots of different uses.

Gratitude Crystal

These crystals are feelings of gratitude in crystallized form.

You can obtaid these crystals by doing favors for people. Collect them for Batreaux who needs them to make his ultimate wish come true.

Hornet Larvae

They’re a precious source of protein that comes from a Deku Hornet’s hive. This material might be good for making soomething.

This item can acquired in Faron Woods. Shoot a Deku Hornet‘s hive from a distance with the Slingshot to knock it down and collect the larvae.

Ornamental Skull

This simple, slightly macabre fashion statement bears the Bokoblin symbol.

This item can be used in forging equipment. It can be obtained by defeating a Red Bokoblin (obviously).

Goddess Plume

Rumors say this item was dropped by the goddess in a long-forgotten era. It’s a legendary treasure few will ever behold!

  • Can be obtained from the Bamboo Chopping minigame run by Peater on one of the skylands.
Golden Skull

A real rarity among skull ornaments, it shines with an eerie, golden color.

This item can be used in forging equipment. It can be obtained by defeating a Green Bokoblin (obviously).

Lizard’s Tail

It’s the tail of a large lizard with a spiked ball on the end. Sure, it’s a little gross, but you never know when you might need one.

  • Can be obtained by defeating Lizalfos.
Monster Claw

These extremely sharp claws look painful to even touch!

This is an item that can be used for forging other items. You can obtain it by defeating Keese.

  • Can be obtained from Keese.
Monster horn

This well-crafted horn is made of sturdy animal bone. You might find a use for this as a material.

Jelly Blob

It may look like a boring wad of gunk, but it’s used to make all sorts of things!

Stamina Fruit

This peculiar fruit replentishes your stamina gauge!

These fruits can be found all over the place. Pick one up if you’re low on stamina!

Life Medal

Your maximum nimber of hearts is increased by one as long as you carry this with you.

  • Can be purchased from Beedle’s Airshop for 800 rupees
Blessed Butterfly

These insects are commonly found in every province. In rare cases, you can find them flying in strange locations.

This critter can be used in potion creation and infusion.

Eldin Roller

These small-bodied bugs roll a ball of… something. The way they busily roll stuff back to their nest is quite adorable.

These bugs move slowly while rolling “something”, but startle them and they will quickly scurry away.

Faron Grasshopper

It’s said that these bugs reproduce in massive numbers once every 10 years, eating every plant in sight.

These bugs can be found in Faron Woods, often by the Forest Temple. They are pretty fast, so sneak up behind them and swipe your Bug Net quickly!

Skyloft Mantis

These bugs catch prey with their sharp jaws. They are often seen up above the clouds.

This critter can be used in potion creation and infusion.

Starry Firefly

These insects are among the rarest in the skies and can only be found in dark places.

Volcanic Ladybug
They say these bugs get their deep-red hue from the ore they eat. They are slow moving and tend to stay in one place.

  • Can be obtained in Eldin Volcano.
Woodland Rhino Beetle
Collectors often polish the hard carapaces of these beetles to make them tougher. It’s the strongest of all the insects.

  • Can be obtained in Faron Woods.
Revitalizing Potion
This potion fully replentishes your shield guage and also restores four hearts!

Deku Seeds

These small seeds serve as ammunition for your Slingshot. Make sure you’ve always got a few handy!

If you’re running low on Deku Seeds, try rolling into a fruitful tree. The seeds are inside the fruit!

Wooden Shield
This light wooden shield breaks easily and can burn, so be careful how you use it.

Just as in previous Zelda titles, the Wooden Shield is present and is Link’s first obtained shield. This time, it’s taken on the form of a small buckler.The cost of repairing one or buying a new one altogether will probably be pretty low. This shield can be purchased from the item shop.

Banded Shield
This item is an upgraded version of the Wooden Shield and is much more durable. It can be created in the Bazaar’s Scrap Shot. View the Upgrade Guide to learn how!

This item is an upgraded version of the Wooden Shield and is much more durable.
Hylian Shield
The Hylian Shield has returned as expected! This shield is pretty sturdy and can repel attacks from various enemies as well as projectiles. The cost of repairs, however, may be pretty steep. Learn to dodge!
Beetle
The unexplained power contained within this insect-shaped item allows you to control it as it flies through the air!

When launched, the camera follows the Beetle as it flies through the air. It can be used to explore unreachable areas, it can retrieve items with its pincers, and it can even be used in battle- cutting a spider’s web thread for instance. The Beetle’s speed can be controller by tilting Wii Motion Plus, but it can only remain airborne for a short period of time.

Bombs
Bombs have returned to Zelda in Skyward Sword, and they are just as fun and explosive as ever! Now that Wii Motion Plus has been implemented for this game, you can use the Wiimote to roll bombs into small holes and crevices.
Bow and Arrows
Yet another classic item returns in Skyward Sword! The trusty bow is as useful as ever, but it now has the ability to affect other items. For instance, Link can shoot a falling heart and pin it to something such as a fence or tree. This item makes use of Wii Motion Plus, making precise aiming easy and natural.
Bug Net

Use it to catch bugs and other small things. When you’re hunting bugs, remember to approach quietly and strike quickly!

This item can be purchased from Beedle‘s Airshop. Use this net to catch bugs such as Blessed Butterflies for potion-infusion and whatnot at the potion shop! Flailing the net around will scare bugs away, so make sure you time your swipes right!

Goddess Harp
This is Zelda’s lyre, a type of small harp. Link comes into possession of this instrument after certain events transpire, and it takes its place as the game’s main instrument, just like previous games’ Ocarina of Time, Spirit Flute, or Wind Waker.
Digging/Mogma Mitts
Use this sharp claws to dig through patches of soft earth.

Remember the Mole Mitts? A similar item takes their place in Skyward Sword. Use the Mogma Mitts in conjunction with the Skyward Sword’s dowsing ability to find hidden treasure.

  • Tyto, a Mogma in the mine area of Eldin Volcano, will give you the Digging Mitts if you clear out the horde of Red Bokoblins in the room ahead of him.
  • Mogma Mitts are obtained after defeating Magmanos.
Gust Bellow
This is similar to The Minish Cap‘s Gust Jar, which is no surprise seeing as Fujibayashi’s in charge of Skyward Sword this time around. This item can be used to knock enemies back or clear away sand.
Slingshot/Scattershot

Use this projectile-shooting weapon to fling Deku Seeds at your foes! The hard seeds will stun your enemies.

The slingshot makes its return! Unlike the bow and arrow which require both the Wiimote and Nunchuk, you only need to aim with the Wiimote to use this item. The Slingshot is useful for quick-fire against smaller enemies such as Keese.

  • You can obtain this item in Faron Woods from Elder Bucha who gives this Kikwi heirloom to Link as a reward for saving his tribe members.
Small Bomb Bag
It can hold 5 extra bombs, so carry it with you when you need extra firepower.

  • This bomb bag can be purchased from the Bazaar.
Medals
Bug Medal
The Bug Medal reveals the locations of bugs on the map. It can be purchased from Beedle’s Air Shop for 1,000 Rupees.
Cursed Medal
With this, Rupees and treasures will appear more often… but it also carries a curse that prevents your pouch from opening! Eeek!

Heart Medal
While you carry this mysterious medal, hearts appear with greater frequency.

  • Goddess Chest southeast of Fun Fun Island
Life Medal
While you carry this mysterious medal, your maximum number of hearts goes up by one.

  • Purchase from Beedle‘s Airshop for 800 Rupees
  • Goddess Chest northwest of Fun Fun Island.
Rupee Medal
While you carry this mysterious medal, Rupees appear with greater frequency.

  • Goddess Chest on Beedle‘s Island.
  • Goddess Chest in northern part of the Thunderhead
Treasure Medal
While you carry this mysterious medal, treasure appears with greater frequency.

  • Goddess Chest southeast of Beedle‘s Island.
Vitality Medal
While you carry this mysterious medal, the effects of potions last longer.

  • Goddess Chest far west of Skyloft.

The hefty capacity of this wallet allows you to store up to 500 rupees in it!
