Ampilus
These quick-moving enemies can be pretty tough to battle up close, so do yourself a favor and use your Hook Beetle to pick up a bomb and drop it on them. After they die, their shell will remain for a few moments, so use it to cross sinksand.
These monsters have inhabited the desert for eons. Their defining characteristic is an ability to internally generate electrical energy. It is also said they live to a very old age. Their shells are able to disperse weight surprisingly well, allowing them to safely traverse desert sinksand.

Ampilus Egg
Ampilus Egg threat levels are pretty low. Being immoble creatures, they can only cause damage if touched while emitting an electrical pulse. Simply wait for their current of electricity to momentarily stop and pick them up, knock them away with your sword, or carry it with your Hook Beetle.
It is an Ampilus that has reverted to its earliest form of development, no doubt because of the effect of the Timeshift Stone. Even in its current state, it retains the ability to generate powerful electrical curren at regular intervals.

Aracha
Arachas are relatively easy to dispose of, needing only a single strike from any object to defeat one. It would be wise to use your Gust Bellow against a swarm of them in order to momentarily immobilize them and take them out.
This unusual monster is said to live for 1,000 years, during which time it is continually growing. Though the larva is small in size, it is quite ferocious and is often found in swarms beneath the sand. It tends to leap toward moving objects such as yourself.

Beamos
Beamos can cause a lot of damage if you find yourself stuck in a corner with one. You can use your Slingshot to dizzy them, but the best way to take them out is to use your Gust Bellow against them. Make them dizzy by spinning their head around with a blast of air, then strike horizontally with your sword to knock their totem-like bodies out from under them. Then, thrust your sword into their eye to defeat them.
This is an ancient security mechanism. It’s weakpoint is its eye. The eye is also a weapon that fires a focused energy beam.

Blue Bokoblin
Blue Bokoblins aren’t terribly tougher than Red Bokoblins. They strike quicker and more often than their red counterparts and they take more damage, but the same tacts apply to defeating them: strike at an angle they aren’t guarding. When you’ve landed one hit, it’s easy to follow up with a few more quick strikes in order to defeat them.
This is a dangerous form of Bokoblin. Analysis suggests it is many times stronger than a Red Bokoblin. Its skin and clothing differ due to its hailing from a different environment, but it still has the same fixation with exotic undergarments.

Chuchu (Blue) Chuchu (Red)
Chuchus are gelatinous blobs that are really more annoying than dangerous. They will bounce at Link and will split into smaller enemies that can reform into a large Chuchu, so defeat them quickly! The mini Chuchus themselves don’t cause damage, but they can slow Link down by sticking to his legs. Shake the controllers to shake the enemies off if they stick to your legs!
The red Chuchu has an exceedingly high body temperature. Avoid all physical contact, or your clothing and shield may burst into flames.

Cursed Bokoblin
These slow-moving monsters are probably the easiest of the Bokoblins to defeat. Simply knock them back with your sword and use a Final Strike to finish them off.
This horrifying Bokoblin reanimates after death. Analysis indicates it fears pure, shiny items and will startle at the sight of a sacred shield. It is able to reanimate purely through its hatred of this world… and its attachment to outlandish underpants.

Deku Baba
Deku Babas are fairly common enemies and can be found in places like the Faron Woods. While they are aggressive enemies, they are rooted in place, so they cannot chase after you.

The trick to defeating them is to swing your sword either horizontally or vertically, depending on the position of their toothy maws. If they lunge at you, quickly block with your shield.

Deku Hornet
Deku Hornets can be found buzzing around their hives in woodland areas. Get too close and they will swarm! Shoot the hive from a distance to take out the entire swarm. You can also use your Bug Net to catch them.
The venom of these insects can be heated to infuse a potent medicine. Just be careful not to get attacked by an angry swarm!

Dha-lluohma
Dha-lluohma is a large golden idol brought to life by Ghirahim. Dodge the axes[/higlight] it throws at you and use the whip to render his mechanical arms useless.
Electro Spume
If you have the Guardian Shield, you can protect yourself from their projectiles. Rolling Bombs at them is an efficient way of defeating them from a distance.

At home in the desert, this monster spits a wad-like, electrified projectile that it produces internally. Cowardly by nature, it sits with its eyes just out of the surface in order to detect any danger and flee if necessary.

Froak
Froaks will cause damage if they float into you while their spines are exposed, so dispose of them from a distance. You can knock them away with your sword or any of your weapons while their spines are out, but you will need to hit them when they aren’t exposed in order to defeat them. You can also use your Gust Bellow to push them into a wall, causing them to explode.
Though this odd creature is cowardly by nature, it will expose an array of densely packed defensive spines when approached or provoked.

Green Bokoblin
Green Bokoblins can be found in dark, dank caves and dungeons. They wear headgear to protect themselves in combat, making them a bit more difficult to defeat than a Red Bokoblin.
This variety of Bokoblin enjoys dark places, such as caves. Its sunlight-deficient lifestyle has turned its skin a stomach-churning shade of green. However, like its red brethren, it exhibits a fascination with festive undergarments.

Guardian
Guardians are powerful enemies that guard the Silent Realm. Like in Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, these enemies can take Link out with one blow. Collecting Tears will deactivate them for a period of 90 seconds.
Keese (Fire)
Keese return, and they are annoying as ever! On their own, they’re not too much of a hassle, but they can be bothersome in a group. Take them out with your Slingshot from a distance if fighting just a couple, or use your Scattershot to take out a pack of them!
Found in many locations, these winged monsters are attracted to dark places, such as caves. They often gather in colonies, are active at night, and sleep in the day. Those who come too close and awaken them often fall victim to attack.

Lizalfos
Lizalfos, a type of reptilian foe well known in the Zelda series, has returned in Skyward Sword! This time, they are a little more armored, and they will make obnoxious taunting noises if you fail to eliminate them quickly. Aside from striking them at an exposed angle, you can also attack them from the side or back while they spit fire. If your shield is equipped, you can deflect their attack with a timed guard and momentarily stun them, leaving them open.
This unmistakable monster is equipped with an arm guard made of hard iron. Great physical prowess makes it difficult to predict its movements. You will need to anticipate the direction of its arm guard to successfully land an attack on the exposed angle.

Magma Spume
Magma spumes are pretty easy to pick off once you get close to them- simply toss a bomb at them or roll over them with a boulder. From a distance, though, they can cause a lot of damage, especially if you are trying to fight off other enemies at the same time. You can use your Slingshot to stun them momentarily.
This odd creature is quite at home in magma. It stores and processes gas produced by the magma into a flaming projectile that it then spits out. Cowardly by nature, it sits with its eyes just out of the lava in order to detect any danger and flee if necessary.

Magmanos
Magmanos is a two-hand miniboss Link encounters early on in the game. Upon defeating it, Link will obtain the Mogma Mitts, an upgrade from the Digging Mitts.
Octorok (Grass)
Octoroks have returned to their roots, being land-based enemies in Skyward Sword. They will shoot rocks at Link from afar but will retreat underground once he gets close. Reflect the rocks with your shield to knock them out or use the Whip to pull them out of the ground for a short period of time, giving you an opportunity to slash them with your sword.
This monster descended from oceanic mollusks. It has developed the unsightly ability to spit rocks. The creature prefers to sleep with tufts of grass on its head, so it has learned to take on the appearance of grass in order to fool and defeat its prey.

Octorok (Rock)
You can use the same tactics to defeat this type of Octorok. You can also reflect their rocks back at them with your sword- just make sure you’re swinging vertically, not horizontally.
Inexplicably, this beast prefers to sleep with rocks on its head. It camouflages itself to surprise and defeat its prey.

Pyrup
Pyrups are fish-like/seal-like creatures that dwell within the firey Eldin Volcano. They attack by spraying a line of fire at Link which can also obstruct his path. They will run into hiding holes if cornered, but you can roll a bomb into their hiding place and blast them out!
This skittish monster prefers to hide in small holes or inside the skeletal remains of deceased creatures. Once the cowardly Pyrup finds a small space from which to spit flames, it becomes unapproachable.

Quadro Baba
Quadro Baba are much like Deku Baba, but it takes three strikes with the sword to defeat them. They can switch their maw from being open horizontally to vertically.
More rare than Deku Baba, Quadro Baba has greater stamina. A golden husk and dynamic mouth are this plant’s distinguishing features.

Red Bokoblin
This time around, Bokoblins have a Moblin-like appearance. They are aggressive enemies that will charge at Link, but they don’t pose a great threat. Three sword strikes will defeat a Bokoblin. Ornamental Skulls can be obtained by defeating one of these enemies.
These monsters have plagued the land since ancient times. They each play different roles, and their weaponry varies. They prefer to act in groups.

Remlit
When night falls, many of the cute and cuddly creatures become feral and ferocious! You might want to think twice before trying to pet this kitty. These creatures are one of the enemies that roam around at night. They will hiss and chase afteir their praw, pouncing and scratching at it as if they were rabid.
During the day they are quite docile, but after dark their personality turns aggressive and they will attack. Don’t be fooled by their cute appearance.

Scaldera
Scaldera is a boss Link encounters in the Earth Temple. Dodge the fireballs it shoots at you and chuck a bomb at it to send it rolling down the incline. Then, throw bombs into its mouth to chip away at its exterior! This will eventually reveal an eyeball weak spot which you must attack with your sword. The top of the hill is a safe zone, and Scaldera will be sent rolling to the bottom if he charges into the bombs around the safe spot, so use that area to refill your Bomb Bag or to refill your hearts!
This fearsome monster inhabits the deepest recesses of the Earth Temple. It can be categorized as a pyroclastic fiend. Its body is completely covered in rock, but you can see its weak point, the eye, through the cracks in its outer shell. If you are able to remove parts of this creature’s rocky shell, you will vastly increase your probability of success.

Scorpion
The scorpion is rather large for being a creepy-crawler, so don’t think you can make potion out of this guy! His weakspots are eyes in his claws that he will defend by clenching his claws. He is about to attack you if the eyes turn red, so ready your shield and dodge quickly! His claws will open, allowing you a chance to attack, so swipe vertically or horizontally depending on how his claw is facing you.

After the claws fall off, his main eye will become the main target. Avoid his stinger and wait for the eye to turn red. This is your attack signal, so use Wii Motion Plus to jab him in the eye!

Sentrobe
These enemies are easy to defeat- they just take a little bit of time to do so. Deflect their shots with your shield twice to defeat them. They also spit out Sentrobe Bombs.
This security drone was built in ancient times. It is armed with missiles fired from a central turret and flying bombs from both of its sides.

Sentrobe Bomb
Two of these projectiles will be shot from a Sentrobe at once. A slit of blue light along their shell shows you which direction to cut them. A single sword strike will take them out. Just be sure that you defeat them before they explode!
This is a bomb projectile fired from a Sentrobe. It will follow its target anywhere, although a timed fuse ensures it will explode after a set time.

Skulltula
Skulltulas are large spider that drop from the ceiling to attack. If you get too close, their spin attack will knock Link down. Their hardened front is impervious to sword attacks, but wait for them to spin around so you can thrust your sword into their weak spot. You can also use the Beetle to cut them from their webs from a distance.
It has a tough outer carapace, but its stomach may be vulnerable to attack.

Stalfos
Stalfos are another familiar enemy, but Skyward Sword has brought technique to their battle! Use the Shield Bash defense technique to counter its attack!
This skeleton soldier is born of the dead. In its previous life, it was an ordinary knight, but undeath has improved its combat abilities.

Takkuri
Takkuris return! This enemy was last seen in Majora’s Mask, and it is evil as ever! Now the Takkuri will poop on Link’s head if it gets close enough, covering him in a fowl (geddit?!) stench. Shake the Wiimote the get the stink off!
Technoblin
Technoblins can be pretty mean, especially in groups. Don’t strike unless you’re ready, otherwise you’ll receive a painful electrical shock. A good tactic would be to stun them with your Slingshot and then proceed to attack them.
These Bokoblins wield sophistocated weaponry created by an ancient and highly evolved civilization. If you are struck with the discharge from one of their electrical weapons, you may become paralyzed. These creatures also wear the latest is Bokoblin fashion.

Walltula
These spiders can be found creeping across vines and leafy areas. They will rush at Link and knock him from his climbing place if you get too close, so play it safe and take them out from a distance with the slingshot
Found mostly in ivy and on walls, you can expect this creature to approach when it senses your presence. The beast lives on other creatures’ bodily fluids. A fully grown Walltula is several orders of magnitude more dangerous than a young Walltula.

Wooden Shield Moblin
Moblins are large enemies that will attack Link with a spear and guard themselves with a makeshift shield of planks of wood. You can break down their defenses by cutting their shields. After they thrust their spear at Link, attack while they retract their weapon. Be sure to dodge out of the way if you miss your chance.
This massive monster’s wall-sized shield gives it a tactical advantage. When its shield is at the ready, most attacks will be quite futile. The destruction of its shield is likely to drive the monster into a rage, instantly increasing its threat.
