Being a Fan

Being a fan is much more than just enjoying Link x Zelda. With being a ZeLink shipper comes a lot of hardship. Really, it does! You're going to meet a lot of other shippers out there who might enjoy the coupling, and you're going to meet many that do not. Many of those that do not support ZeLink are great people who enjoy different pairings, but they will still respect that you support Link and Zelda as a couple. Still, there are some "anti-ZeLinkers" out there who are not so nice.
  • Supporting ZeLink
    Don't lose your fondness of this coupling just because some others might not like it! ZeLink meets the classic fairytale romance expectations that many of us have grown up with, whether we were read bedtime stories or enjoyed happy endings in Disney movies. You might be just slightly fond of ZeLink or absolutely crazy about the pairing. Whatever your stand on this pairing is, remember, Aonuma and Miyamoto support them, too!
  • Debating ZeLink
    You are bound to come up against debates regarding this relationship. Sometimes it'll be up against another relationship, and sometimes the very foundation of ZeLink will be argued for and against. As a ZeLinker, you should make a good image for the ZeLink community all over the world and show courtesy towards those you are debating with. Be respectful, be kind, but stand your ground! There is plenty of backup for this coupling, so learning to use your resources to support it is a key skill in debating.
  • Respect
    Respect is a very important part of the Zelda shipping universe. Yes, you're going to come across people who flame and bash ZeLink, but don't stoop to their level. You will even come across ridiculous and unfounded accusations against Link or Princess Zelda! Trust me, there are some crazies out there. This webmaster has even come across one anti-ZeLinker who swore up and down that Zelda would make Link a sex slave! Really, when you come across people who disrespect you and the coupling with unfounded insults that are obviously pulled out of their ass like that, it's best to just be kind and set a good example. Not everybody will enjoy ZeLink, and they don't have to! We all have our tastes and opinions, and it's very important to respect those. Don't bash other characters or couplings. Spread the love and respect, not the hate and ignorance!
